Positive affirmations are powerful tools that can help us improve our lives. They can also be very effective at helping us overcome negative thoughts or feelings.

Positive affirmations are statements that you repeat out loud to yourself. They can be positive or negative, depending on whether they focus on your strengths or weaknesses.

5 Tips to Increase the Success of Your Affirmation Routine in Your Daily Lives

If one of your goals in life is to have a disciplined mind and boost your self-esteem, then saying positive affirmations might seem like a good idea.

Here’s what you need to know about this popular strategy.

5 Tips to Increase the Success of Your Affirmation Routine in Your Daily Lives

1. Daily affirmations are not negative thinking

One reason people use affirmations is because they want to eliminate negative thinking and feeling from their lives. People who have negative thoughts or emotions will find affirmations helpful.

Here’s how affirmations work. When you hear someone say “I am confident,” those words cause your brain to release chemicals called endorphins.

Endorphins are natural painkillers which allow you to feel better. So when you start to believe that you really don’t have any weaknesses, you’ll start to feel better. In fact, studies show that just hearing someone else’s success stories can help you believe that you too can achieve similar results.

2. You need to repeat affirmations more than once

You may read books or listen to CDs telling you that you need to say affirmations every single day. But the truth is that if you try to repeat a thought every time you hear it, it won’t stick in your mind.

That’s because your subconscious mind doesn’t always remember everything that comes into your head. Saying something only once will ensure that you absorb it properly.

3. Repeat affirmations as many times as needed

Some people claim that you only need to repeat affirmatives 20 to 30 times before changing them. If you notice that the problem with this concept is that it could take years to get used to new thoughts. Why would you want to wait so long?

What you really want to do is repeat affirmations until you start seeing real benefits. One technique is to record the affirmations and play them back every night.

For example, write down 10 reasons why you are worthy of love, money or whatever goal you want to accomplish. Play these affirmations back to yourself each evening.

4. Try to avoid using negatives

Don’t spend all your time focusing on what you aren’t doing right. Instead, direct your attention towards the things you are doing well. What are you good at? Focus on what makes you unique. Are you strong-willed? Do you have great intuition? Think about what sets you apart from everybody else.

When you begin to look at yourself in terms of positives rather than negatives, it’s easier to see yourself as being capable and capable of achieving goals.

5. Use reminders during stressful times

It can be difficult to keep up with regular affirmations when you’re having a hard time getting motivated. That’s especially true if you’re facing challenges such as depression or anxiety. The solution is simple—when you find yourself struggling to stay positive, remind yourself of some of your affirmations.

For instance, when you feel hopeless or depressed, imagine finding support through reading an affirmation book. When you experience high levels of stress, focus on breathing deeply several times.
